Confirm the change was saved
Before blaming OBS, verify the expected team inside administration. Close the dialog and check species, variant, nickname and position. If the change is missing there, the failure happened before it reached the overlay.
Open the exact viewing URL in a private browser
Copy the URL used by OBS and open that exact address privately. Do not generate a new URL during the test. If the private browser updates while OBS does not, the run and service work and the problem is limited to source or scene.
The correct address only displays the team. Editing controls mean it is not the URL that belongs in OBS.
Isolate the source in an empty scene
Create a temporary scene with one browser source using the same URL and dimensions. If it works, inspect filters, crops, visibility, nested scenes and duplicates in the original composition. If it also fails, reload once and measure reconstruction time.
Separate delay, disconnect and cache
A delay eventually updates; a disconnect stops receiving changes; stale cache can load older resources after a reload. Record the operation time and wait a defined interval before repeating it. Check sleep, network changes, VPN, firewall and whether OBS remained open during an outage.
Prepare a report that can be reproduced
- Operating system and OBS version.
- Source resolution and FPS.
- The exact operation that did not arrive.
- The result in a private browser.
- Approximate time and a screenshot without the private URL.
This comparison quickly separates data, connection and rendering. Never send the full administration access unless essential and reviewed.
